Home is quiet tonight...it's that time of life

So it is a beautiful Las Vegas winter evening....yet someting seems a little off. The temperature is chilly enough to make you want to slide that soft comfy sweatshirt on over those soft worn sweats. It feels good, but something is missing. House is spotless (thanks CoCo)and laundry is current and put away...mostly. My Lovey gives me a night off of cooking and is craving some take out Macayos....easy-peasy. I get the food and return to some great tunes blasting from my new Bose Ipod Speaker thinger I got for my birthday...it sounds good. Candles are lit..for no specific purpose (probably to cover up some obsene smell..come on we have 3 dogs)...just added to the perfect winter night at home. Great Luther Vandross song comes on and Keith and I can't resist. Its so fun to dance in the kitchen. Who cares Glenn Beck is shouting about something in the background and the three doggies are wrestling and running around like madmen. We danced and twirled the entire song. We might not get chosen to dance on any of the dance shows...but it was pretty dang good dancing.
So you might think....what a sweet night for Keith & janae...but something just wasn't right. So under the biggest full moon I have seen in a long time we went and soaked in the jacuzzi ....awwww was so fun....just chatter and giggles.
What was missing....all the ingredients were here but just not feeling complete.
Thats when I heard it.....the familiar intro from the warm friendly voice of the boy next door....Ryan Seacreast.....Its time to snuggle down and watch American Idol. Ahh what a wonderful quiet winter night. By the way......Michael Johns is going to DOMINATE this years show. Thats my guy and I'm sticking by him.
So Life is good.....now off to watch Big Brother.....its like the dream day....Life is good.
Peace Out

Alec & Tiffanys little bundle of joy

I finally got up to SLC to meet the newest addition to the Runyon clan. Little Riggins is a tiny bundle of kisses and wiggles. He is very cute.

We had a busy fun time this weekend. With redvines as ticket payments, undercover sportspass exchanges, birthday surprises and loads of breadsticks...it turned out to be a really great time. Thanks Tiff, Alec & Little Riggins for a fun time! Love you!

A little tidbit from Elder Jakie-Poo this week.

"Earlier this week I spoke to a teacher who went to Guayaquil North mission. He gave me alot of information. He said that the north is the wealthier side of the city. The two mission offices are next door neighbors. So we'll mingle and get to know alot of Ecuador N missionaries. Only 4 missionaries are at the Galapagos at a time and they are there for usually 6 months. So there is a good chance i never serve there, but i really hope i can. He said in the summer it averages about 95 degrees and is humid. This is the wierd part. In the winter it averages about 100 degrees and it rains nearly everyday. He said at the beginning of the winter season that when it starts to rain that the streets flood. He said the because our mission is on the poor side is the reason why we got the Galapagos islands to even it out. Haha, he also said Cuenca is supposedly a favorite area for the missionaries. Mom, its not pronounced Sew ay Kaw, its pronounced Koo wayn kaw. FYI. He talked about the food and it sounds like i should get used to rice. He showed us a picture that is in the MTC of my exact mission and it looks alot like alecs mission. Dirt roads and tin huts. A cool thing in the picture was the missionary was holding a monkey. That will be pretty cool if the members have monkeys that we will be able to hold."

peace out all!

Romneys campaign "suspended" BRILLIANT!!

I was really disappointed this morning when I woke up and read about Governor Romneys "suspending" his presidential campaign. I really wanted him to win. Really wanted him to win. But I understand and I am totally impressed with his lack of ego and forsight to see that he wasn't going to make it to the finish line this time.

What I think is brilliant is that he isn't now, and I pray never, going say the words "I quit". I hate those words. I wish I could meet the college graduate PR person or campaign guy that came up with "suspends". It was worth all those $$$$ of education to have come up with this. His/her parents should be so proud. They should rent a billboard with the words..."my kid came up with "suspends". (actually..it was probably his wife...thats where all the best ideas come from..us wives)

This has granted me a freedom I never thought I would see in my lifetime. The ability to "suspend" whatever project or assignment I am working on and not feel like a quitter. I love it....the bag of yarn with the 1/4 crocheted afghan that sits next to that couch unfinished and dusty from neglect, screaming "please work on me" everytime I walk past it. The piles of scrapbook materials just crying for some creative use. All the Rubbermaid organizing bins...that sit empty in my garage. FREEDOM!!! I haven't quit or give up in failure...I will just "suspend" these projects. See....Brilliant. I am not quitting my gym membership, just "suspending" my workout goals. I don't need to throw out my "skinny" clothes...I will just "suspend" them in another closet.

Jeez..that Mitt Romney is a genius. He should run for President someday :)

peace out
